Web Design

A selection of our website design and development clients, ranging from e-commerce integration and implementation to complete end-to-end solutions. As always, our goal is to maximise our client's return on their investment, whatever it's size.

Hastings Town Centre Management

Hastings Town Centre Management WebsiteCharged with promoting the towns of Hastings and St Leonards to the world at large, as well as monitoring and improving services and facilities for existing residents HTCM has a large brief. They needed a website that would present a welcoming face to visitors, while offering easy access to relevant information. Members of the organisations run by HTCM would also need access to an exclusive members-only area, and HTCM staff would need the ability to keep the online database of businesses up to date.

After extensive consultation we provided a solution that met or exceeded all of our clients requirements.

Dragon Sports

Dragon Sports WebsiteBased in Pembrokeshire, Dragon Sports were a traditional retailer of sports equipment for over 20 years. In the early days of the Internet boom they had commissioned a website from a friend's son, and he had built what they thought they wanted. Several years later the original designer was no longer willing or able to maintain the site and we were contacted to try and fix some errors and improve the download time and search-engine ranking, both of which were not good. We managed some improvements but advised that limitations of the original design stopped further gains.

As an increasing amount of their (and their competitors') business was coming from the Internet John McEntee, Dragon Sports director agreed to a complete site rebuild. Designed uising the latest ASP.NET and SQL Server technology the new site is very fast, easy to use and search engine friendly, with 1st page Google rankings for over 20 targetted phrases and a streamlined administration process, and was delivered for a lower cost than the original site it replaced!

Lee Maritime Books

Lee Maritime Books WebsiteAfter retirement Gerald Lee decided to remain active and make a second career from his hobby of collecting maritime books. He used a proprietary database specific to the book trade to store stock information, which he could export and upload to one of the used book clearing websites.

He came to us wanting a small, cheap website that presented a professional virtual shop front to his customers, and had a restricted administration area that would integrate with his existing stock system and allow him to upload book lists in a search-engine friendly format.

Web Hosting

While most organisations have similar hosting requirements, some have special needs, which we at GAP 66 go out of our way to try and meet. Here are a few examples of how we have helped reduce costs or increase returns for our clients.

Geraniums UK

Vernons Geraniums Nursery is a family run business specialising, as you might guess, in geraniums and pelargoniums. They had a large, graphically rich website based on their printed catalogue and required cheap reliable hosting that supported a small database and secure ordering. We were able to supply a package with more features and less extra expenses than their previous one, at a lower annual cost.

Tel-W

Roly Walters, a professional database developer and I.T. solutions provider contacted us with a specific requirement. His client needed a hosting package that included programmatic access to mail server administration functions, preferably via an XML web service. We created and supplied a solution that fulfilled all his requirements, within his timescale and to his budget.

Cybourhood

As an enterpreneur and part-time web developer Andy Bye required a hosting solution that he could use for his own and his clients' websites. His needs included ASP and Microsoft Access database support, as well as a friendly local firm that he could call when he needed help. We supplied him with hosting space and domain name services to suit his needs, at a price that he could afford.

Royal Victoria Hotel

The premier hotel in St Leonards with a commanding presence on the sea front, the Royal Vic have now been using our advanced web hosting services for many years.

Database Design

Here are a few of the many people and organisations we have helped, either by creating a database to run their business, hosting their database or supplying database related services.

Nine regional Business Brokers

We were commissioned by the local Chambers of Commerce to produce a desktop database system for several regional Business Brokers to help their compliance with government funding regulations, and to record and schedule their client meetings. The work involved closely liasing with the brokers to produce an end result that all were extremely impressed with.

Brent Employers Partnership

Another desktop database system was created for the Brent Employers Partnership

Seaview Charity

Another business (or charity in this case) that benefited from our database design services was The Southwater Centre, an organisation that helps local residents with a variety of issues. After careful analysis of their requirements we produced a system that precisely handled their needs, for the price we'd quoted.

GP Jobs & GP Info

Dr John Horton runs two websites offering services to General Practitioners. His in-house database was a legacy FoxPro system that he did not want to change, however he had difficulty finding a hosting solution that would allow him to publish his data. We supplied two of our standard hosting packages and configured them to use the FoxPro data as part of the service.

5 Dollar Shake

A small business that took off in a big way, Five Dollar Shake make luxury hand-made greeting and special occassion cards. Business expansion bought with it increased I.T. requirements and we were contacted to provide on-site staff training in a variety of productivity applications.

Decoda

A registered charity whose goal is the education of special needs children through the use of music, Decoda required advice and assistance in getting the most from their Internet and I.T. investment. We were able to help them get their website off the ground, and advise on software selection and usage.
